Are we allowed to have controlled burns in the city limits of Waxahachie?
Answer:
Yes, controlled burns are allowed in the city limits as long as certain
guidelines are followed. You can print a copy of the guidelines by
clicking here. In addition to following the guidelines, we also ask that
you call the Central Fire Station at 972-937-8364 to let us know where the
burning will be and to make sure the weather conditions are suitable.
NOTE: If the county is under a burn ban, then controlled burns in the city
will be prohibited until the ban is lifted.

How can I become a firefighter for the City of Waxahachie?
Answer:
Waxahachie Fire Rescue welcomes all who are interested in becoming a firefighter
