Waxahachie Fire Rescue is a professional fire department that provides protection of life and property for the citizens of Waxahachie, Texas. WFD consists of 50 employees (49 certified firefighters and 1 administrative assistant). There are 3 Fire Stations and 1 EMS station that serve over 32,000 citizens and 55 square miles within the Waxahachie City Limits. WFD assists East Texas Medical Center - EMS ambulances with ALS capable first responder units.
Our Mission
To protect life and property from fire through strong prevention, code enforcement and suppression programs. To establish the best rescue and pre-hospital care plan possible. To develop a master emergency plan to provide direction for the city during major disasters.
